So the day started with a stroll to the John Lennon wall, were we took pictures and noticed that someone had written "respect the john lenin wall" misspelling his last name-speaking of respect, ironic...
Then we followed the small brick road up to the Prague castle, which in our opinion is no castle at all. There is a church, St Vitus Cathedral, a convent, and a building that looked like it was just painted this spring. We were expecting a draw bridge and war torn walls...well I guess if you are going to battle it's best to have the the lord's people on your side, I wouldn't want to piss off a nun.
We then found a restaurant on our way down that had an amazing view of the city, with it's red rooftops and charles bridge back drop. We had a good glass of wine, a shitty beer ( I am very disappointed with Pilsner and can't seem to find a beer worth drinking in Prague), and a cheese plate (very euro, huh).
Our next stop was posting up at a restaurant that overlooked the Vltava river to watch the sunset over the prague castle. It was hilarious because our waiter hated to love us, saying "oh you again", when asking where the toilets were...the turning point was when he brought birthday cake with a candle, singing happy birthday to me prompting us to buy him a shot (on our tab) and me hugging him awkwardly on the way out...we spent the rest of the 2 hours watching video of our trip that has been taken thus far and laughing so loud...final count was 14 tequila sunrises (to explain: we kept ordering doubles because in the great U.S of A a double normally means a discount, when apparently in Prague it means pay for two)...
My birthday ended with drunk dialing Adam, getting a buy one get one free deal on pizza which I later sat on and calling it a night.
Today our last adventerous day in Prague was dedicated to sight seeing...well sort of. We went to the Old Jewish Cemetary, not to go in because we didn't want to pay for the grand tour. We walked to Wenceslas Square only to shop and spend more money than we wanted to. Happy Birthday to us!
